Corvallis shocks West Albany, Willamette moves on
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) —Lexi Bando scored 26 to lead Willamette, which led Milwaukie by as many as 25 points. The Wolverines were runners-up last season.
Lorissa Martine and April Meads had nine points apiece for the sixth-ranked Mustangs (22-2).
West Albany led Corvallis 25-22 on Lauren Conser's free throw with 6:12 remaining in the game, but Leslie Robinson scored on a tip-in and a layup and the Spartans led the rest of the way, winning 29-26.
Robinson led Corvallis with 18 points.
Ashton Siegner had 11 points and eight rebounds for the second-ranked ranked Bulldogs (24-1), who won both regular season meeting against the Spartans. West Albany has never won a state title.
