CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Oregon State is faced with yet another week off following its upset victory over Wisconsin.

It's not the greatest timing.

"We've hardly played," said Mike Riley. "We're in the third week of the season with only one game, but we're not going to worry about it."

The Beavers will use the extra practice time to get ready for No. 22 UCLA.

"It's an opportunity to put in a lot more work," said Jordan Poyer. "Our team has a lot more work to do to get to where we want to be."

After the Oregon State defense held Montee Ball to just 61 yards rushing, it faces another tough test in Johnathan Franklin. The Bruins lead the Pac-12 in total offense with 650 yards per game.

"It's not really surprising to me that other teams in the conference are having success against non-conference opponents," said Sean Mannion. "Every week (in the Pac-12) is going to be the toughest game of the season."

Like Oregon State, UCLA is also coming off an impressive victory. The Bruins beat Nebraska 36-30. In fact, last weekend the Pac-12 was a perfect 3-0 over the Big-10.

"You look at what happened last weekend in the league, it's going to be, as many people thought, the toughest year in the league competitively ever."
