COQUILLE, ORE - Hard hits and fast feet are moving swiftly on the Coquille practice field, as close to two dozen returning players say they are hungry to reach the playoffs this season after falling just short in 2009.

Running Back Joseph Harris just might be the ticket to get them there, as his teammates say their Wing-T offense is expected to keep Coquille in control of the ball.

Defensively, it is a return to their basic 4-3, that they say is anything but "basic" as they like to use a number of stunts to keep the opposition guessing.

But the biggest surprise this year was the number of Red Devils suiting up, as they jumped from 32 in 2009 to almost 50 this year.

That new influx of players is also bringing some new-found enthusiasm for Red Devil football.

It promises to be an exciting year to watch in Coquille.
