REEDSPORT, ORE - After struggling to find wins in 2009, the Reedsport Braves are looking to get back to basics in 2010. As they also look for underclassmen to step forward in leadership roles.

Pads and helmets may way heavy on the shoulders of the 36 Braves football players, but coaches say they won't have any 'big heads.'

With no one start player calling the shots this year, returning Coach Shane Nelson says his athletes have checked their ego's in the locker room.

Finishing last season at 2-7, Senior Jason Fegles says their new enthusiasm should carry this team all the way through each game. Particularly the 4th quarter, which proved so troublesome in 2009.

Using a split-back offense and misdirection, they hope to keep control of the ball and keep the opposing offenses on the sideline.

Both the players and Coach Nelson says it is all about taking it one game at a time, and taking care of the small details, to ensure success in 2010.
