COOS BAY, Ore. -In the midst of March Madness, baseball season is swinging into action as local teams hit the fields this week for pre-season play.

Starting Monday, Marshfield High School loosened up their arms for their home opener, against the Myrtle Point Bobcats.

Either team would lead by a couple of runs depending on the inning but this one would be called a draw at six each due to darkness.

Now as the baseball and softball seasons pick up around the South Coast, KCBY News is asking area coaches to feel free and call in your game scores, (541) 269-111, and we'll work on getting those on the air.
