Disc Golf course gets Spring cleaning
By Kristina Nelson KCBY NewsNORTH BEND, ORE - A group of Disc Golf aficionados took advantage of some nice weekend weather to do a little Spring cleaning on a course in North Bend, located just south of the McCullough Bridge. Armed with rakes, members of the West Coast Fliers Disc Golf Club spent the morning of March 13th sprucing up the course as part of a larger effort by the members and the City of North Bend to make some upgrades to the site. Folks have volunteered to paint the Frisbee baskets that serve the sport as golf "holes" and have also volunteered to make new concrete "tee" boxes. The City will also provide some new signs for the course. They say anyone can come out and play on the course and, if they'd like, to join the West Coast Flyers Club Anyone interested in participating can contact "Doc" Neil Esteves at 541-269-9064.
