NORTH BEND, Ore. -With the hype of the World Cup underway right now, local soccer fans are eager to learn some Cross-Continental skills from a few professional players from Holland, as they host their 3rd Annual Epuerto-Dutch Soccer Camp in North Bend this week.

Two repeat players from the National Dutch Team, Jordens Peters and Stef Doedee, have returned to the South Coast, along with a fellow player and coach, Bart Langens.

A partnership started between them and the Bay Area Soccer Club, allows the guys to come in and give the players a taste of Holland fut ball.

What makes this trip even more exciting than before is that they get to share the World Cup experience with their young American players.

According to Peters, "It's getting big in the U.S., so we don't miss anything. So first you watch the game then we do the soccer camp."

Langens added, "Then we go to camp and we can motivate children to watch games then we can learn something out of the matches."

The Dutch team beat Denmark on Monday, and now play against Japan early Saturday. Coaches say they hope that excitement will carry over into the camp.

"Just want to have fun. The last two years, the kids were very motivated. I hope they can bring the motivation and we can bring some skills and fun," said Peters.

The Annual Epuerto-Dutch Soccer Camp kicks off Friday, June 18, at North Bend High School's, Vic Adams Field.

Open to anyone 18 and under, the camp is broken up by age groups, with a full day camp for 11 and up, costing $100 and half days for ten and under, at half the cost.

With basic work-out apparel, players can show up at 9 am Friday morning to register. The camp runs through Monday.
