North Bend - Stepping onto their new turf field for the first time Friday, the North Bend Bulldogs wanted payback against the Cottage Grove Lions for their loss in the 2006 season.

Hundreds of current students and alumni came out to support their Bulldogs in their first home match-up of the season and to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the school.

It was a busy first half for the Bulldogs and the Lions, starting with a touchdown pass in the 1st quarter from Lion Quarterback Cameron Dixon to Kelly Tuerffs. Extra point is good and Lions are up 7-0.

Bulldog Running Back Lane Seals answers right back with returning the kick-off for over 80 yards, putting North Bend on the board with seven a piece.

Things roll on in the 2nd half as Lions QB Cameron Dixon finds JV Bonds for another touchdown. Lions roll ahead 14-7.

The Bulldogs don't give up yet, answering back with a touchdown pass from QB Ethan Ottemiller to Wide Receiver Luke Clark.

The Lions and Bulldogs roll into halftime tied at 14 a piece. The Bulldogs wouldn't have as much luck in the second half, falling to the Lions 21-14.
