Behold 'The Hyphen' -- M's 2010 commercials unveiled
By KOMO Staff
SEATTLE -- It's just as much of a spring ritual in Seattle as filling out your brackets -- getting your first peek at the annual Seattle Mariners commercials.
Among the story lines in the five 30-second commercials for the 2010 season include the fielding prowess of center fielder Franklin Gutierrez, the special relationship between Ken Griffey Jr. and Ichiro Suzuki, the unusually close Mariners bullpen, and another hard-to-believe scheme to market left-hander Ryan Rowland-Smith. The commercials feature 12 players, two coaches, manager Don Wakamatsu and general manager Jack Zduriencik. The campaign, as in years past, is the result of a creative collaboration between the Mariners and Seattle agency Copacino+Fujikado. The spots are shot and directed by Blue Goose Productions of Mercer Island. Without further ado, here are the commercials for 2010: The next big thing
