Judge Barro violates 1st Amendment

Today I was in front of the Coos County Courthouse taking pictures. I was on the sidewalk, public property. I was taking pictures of people, including prospective jurors. After a short time about 6 deputies came out wanting to know why I was taking pictures of jurors. I told him, "Because I can." I also told them I was in public and they are in public and I can take pictures.

Several hours later, a deputy came to my door at home and told me Judge Barron has ordered me to not take pictures in front of the courthouse or be in contempt. That's a violation of my First Amendment Rights.

I don't care if he is a Judge. He is not immune from Constitutional law, and I would stand up for your right to photograph in public. There is so much tyranny happening in this country already and this is just one more example.

Take him to task, i dare you. I think you'll find out that the judge is only enforcing an existing state law that protects the privacy of jurors. You're lucky that your actions did not cause a mistrial in this case and you should be ashamed.

you can take that judge to task, you can take him all the way up to the highest court. hate to be in that judges shoes.
