We were at Ziolkouski Beach on 10/17/2011 for sunset. We obviously left too soon because as we were driving out of Winchester Bay, I saw in the side-view mirror the sky was lit up with bright beautiful colors. We did an immediate U-turn and got a couple of photos of the afterglow over Windy Cove.
