I didn't realize what I had captured in this shot; I was simply taking a photo of the passing Coast Guard chopper. Unfortunately, they were on their way to Gold Beach to search for a man who had been swept out to sea. How very, very sad - especially during the holiday season!

Here's a sad update from The World newspaper: "City police on Monday afternoon identified the victim as 48-year-old K.C. Anton from Veneta. Police said they found the remains of his dog Saturday afternoon. Anton's body has not been found."
