Prepare ye the way to laugh, cry, learn, be amazed and entertained by the newest Bandon Playhouse offering, the musical “Godspell,” showing tonight Friday, Aug. 17, at the Sprague Community Theater, 1202 11th St. S.W. in Bandon City Park. The show runs this weekend and next with Fri/Sat at 7:30pm and Sunday 2pm matinees. “Godspell” is being guest-directed by Lisa Carman, a professional musician, songwriter and teacher from Santa Fe, N.M. The role of Jesus is played by popular Coos Bay singer Clint Guevara; with Ben Taylor as John the Baptist/Judas, understudy Dante Hyogo Haruna, along with Destyni and Tessa Fuller, Jenn Winchell, Autumn and Amy Moss-Strong, Lori and Kelly Straley, Shannon and Tyson Burruss and Linda Baldwin, and will feature a live on-stage band. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and students and $10 for children 10 and younger and are available at Bandon Mercantile, Bandon True Value Hardware, Billy Smoothboar’s, by calling 541-551-1066 or at the door prior to each performance.
