Cape Arago Lighthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It's being transferred this year to the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians. The walls are being patched, sealed and painted by the Coast Guard to make sure the building is in good condition and water-tight.
