Beached Seal in Winchester Bay

I know you can't see the details in these photos but this seal had some considerable damage inflicted to its body. There were some semi-healing wounds all over it and some blood along its back and sides near the flippers. I stayed a respectable distance but thankfully had a good zoom on my camera. It appeared to be quite miserable and I felt bad for it but there's nothing anybody can do...nature will take its course.
