The 29 Palms Marine Corps Band out of Calif are the honored guests of Reedsport for the Memorial Day weekend, parade and services. The whole community looks forward each year to their arrival and proformances. At the service Reedsport also had a 2 Air Force Jet flyover and three parachutists from S. Carolina attached to the Special Forces Assoiation of Parachutist with one parachutest carring a 30 foot American Flag.
