As of last week, the CB/NB Waterboard has diverted traffic from the TWO-WAY 10th street onto our ONE-LANE, narrow, ALL RESIDENTIAL street without providing flaggers, radar machines, reduced speed signs, speed bumps or any other speeding deterrent. We have gone before the CB City Council Tuesday evening and have yet to see any progress towards saftey. All CB students get out of school next week and the City and Police are telling us to keep them inside and away from the street. They are admitting that the situation is dangerous, misguided and was not thought-through at all. There was no public hearing or optional routes presented to the neighbors. This cannot go on for TWO MONTHS as projected as the kids must be able to use the new skatepark and park and many kids use our street to get to those places. The recreational integrity of our street has been compromised and must be remedied as soon as possible. Please Help Us by calling the City of Coos Bay and the Coos Bay Police Department at 269-8914 before something happens and they finally pay attention to the danger they are allowing to continue.

The suggestion of calling the police is criminal! What do you say? HELP! CARS ARE DRIVING/PARKING ON A PUBLIC STREET. Get down here. Forget the real criminals and crime. I say lock up the lady who can "no longer" let her dog run off a leash!

Residents of 8th Terrace (those complaining) if you are looking for a recreational area.. TRY THE PARK..YOU ARE LUCKIER THAN MOST AND LIVE RIGHT NEXT IT!

"The recreational integrity of our street has been comprimised" kidding right! It's a street for cars to drive/park on not for your recreational use. Stop whining, realize the work and inconviences are temporary and for you and your neighbors benefit

This situation is no more Dangerous than many other areas in the city. So you get traffic for a couple of months... Many people with children, pets, etc... live on busier roads than yours.

Under this logic maybe we should never let traffic restart on 10th as it runs directly through Mingus Park and the Baseball Field. That certainly gets more pedestian traffic than 8th Terrace. GIVE ME A BREAK!

I cannot believe the whining and complaining of the 8th terrace residents... One lady stating she cannot just let her dog out... have you ever heard of a leash law? "kids use the street to go to those places"..have you ever heard of a sidewalk?

Speed bumps are needed on 8th Terrace. If the city thinks about this, they will know that not only is this area a Mecca for community gathering, but a Mingus Park parking lot substitution(due to the other one being blocked off)! Plus all the traffic!
