Shore Acres, site of Asa Meade Simpson's home, is now a park and botanical garden for all to enjoy; located on Cape Arago beyond the lighthouse there is a three dollar day use fee, small price for great wonder. Don't miss the greenhouse, tucked in the trees behind the pavillion, or the oceanic overlook, the gulls will heap ridacule on you if you do. Even the gift shop holds treasure aplenty and salvation if your digital camera runs out of juice just as you walk through the gate. The batteries are in a bin by the cash register, I had to ask.

I also noticed that you got the info wrong about the builder of Shore Acres. Louis was the son of Asa, and built Shore Acres. Asa lived in San Francisco. Please correct this mis-information!

Please correct the information about Shore Acres. It was Louis J. Simpson's home. (Asa was his father, who visited there.) Louis built the home as a gift for his first wife, Cassie.
