The police weren't called out, but the response of the people attending a free concert at Sozo's Friday afternoon, might just have qualified as a disturbance. There were violins and cellos and violas, oh my! You might guess that this would bring out the long-haired crowd and there were a few, but there were also those who had to sit on a lap or stand up to see the Alameda String Trio play the sweetest music this side of heaven. And play they did, a hush fell at the first tug of a string and the only sound to be heard after that was an occasional sigh; and when the flying fingers and burning bows took a break the staff at Sozo's served food that was as good as the music. The sandwiches were inventive and tasty and the quiche would pass any "real" man's test. Now sadly it's over and all that remains is good food and great coffee. The pastry treats in the glass case are calorie free and low carb...right!
Not so so-so at Sozo's
